Do you like reading articles about entrepreneurship — ironically like this one? And have you been doing that for years without any tangible results? Don’t worry, we got your back.
What is a Wantrepreneur? According to Wiktionary:
Anyone who aspires to be an entrepreneur, especially one who never realizes this ambition.
First, there’s nothing to be ashamed of. Failing to start a business may be caused by a myriad of legitimate things— personal responsibilities, geography, and even culture.
It is difficult to become an entrepreneur. If it is easy, everyone would have done it.
You have heard this a thousand times. IT’S NOT TRUE. Compared to how it was 20 years ago, becoming an entrepreneur is a lot more accessible these days.
As an entrepreneur who started at the age of 16, I am in the position to tell you that you can also do it.

From my 10 years of being a shirt seller, here’s my top tip for you:
Start a business that you can launch overnight.
Stop thinking about becoming the next overnight success. Start doing one small step after another. Start with ANY BUSINESS that you can launch overnight.
If you are a Wantrepreneur with a day job, and you are dreaming about becoming the next Steve Jobs, there is one thing you need to hear:
Hold your horses. Relax.
Having the knack, knowledge and grit to create a big successful business can take years of hands-on learning. Aside from experience and time, you need capital.
Besides, if you have a 9-to-5, then you most likely have 2 to 4 hours a day to get this done.
If you start with something super easy to launch, then you can technically stop being a Wantrepreneur in a short amount of time.
Here are some accessible, easy and affordable ventures you can look into:
- Sell shirts online via shirt.ly
- Create a dropshipping business via Shopify
- Create a niche blog with the help of Income School
- Offer freelance services on 199jobs
- Finance farmers and earn on Cropital
Now when you start any of these, the key is to not stop when you fail for the first time.

Micro failure is part of the game (But let’s talk about that for another time.)
For now, start creating a business that you can launch overnight. Let me know in the comments how it goes.
